The Hampshire Bowman, Dundridge
I'm lucky enough to live near this pub having moved to the area two years ago. I love this place, especially in the summer when you can turn up to find a throng of morris dancers, bikers, classic car enthusiasts, archers and other assorted eclectics. The beautiful cloudy cider is the real draw though. The food is passable too, (but not the pub's best asset). This is a pub that I will keep coming back to.

I dropped by during a football match which was showing on a screen in the corner. This didn't cause any problem though because the patrons were a very mixed bunch and not all watching football. A couple of ladies dart's teams trooped in and were in good form . I sat by a blazing fire with a nice pint of Abbots and stayed for a couple more. I liked this pub a lot mainly because of the mix of people and the easy atmosphere. I'd definately go again if I was in Old Hatfield.

Very poor I thought. I visited during some football match and had a pint of lager amidst a bunch of football morons talking crap. The inside of the pub has real charm which is totally ruined with a redundant fireplace containing dried flowery stuff and a great big flat screen telly for the morons. A real shame. Hopefully the pub will endure until its charm potential is realised once more.

The Hyde Tavern, Winchester
This is a fantastic find. Art and literature and great ales and cider. I wish I lived in walking distance. But please put some more wood on the fire!
