The Rose and Thistle, Camberwell
According to planning applications this is to be demolished soon and replaced with a block of flats with pub on the ground floor

Hmm whats a pseudo yuppie pub I wonder? if its a good welcoming pub with decent food, good range of drinks (although slightly limited real ale) and amazing garden then I guess the Doves is it. Check out the website for details of teh weekly films(Tues), quiz (Wed) and music (Sun)
Only objection to it in the past was that the main bar got very smoky but now the ban has come in there is no problem

The Horse is where its at!
Great beers, wines and food
Very pleasant and trendy but not overly so - even includes one drunk regular single man who is always there whenever we go.

This place is horrible - its got no atmosphere and now that the smoking ban has come in for all pubs whats the point?

As others said not bad but I fail to see the attraction of this place above others in the area.
However its always packed when I go at weekends/ fridays so iguess they must be something right. Perhaps a sign of age but I prefer pubs where its possible to enjoy your drinks without feeling hopelessly crowded and full of themselves clapham types.

The George Canning, Denmark Hill
Good generally - only problem seems to be ability to fulfill food orders. This evening we had to wait over 35 minutes to be served our burger and chips (hardly haute cuisine!)
