I live locally to this pub and am appalled by your comments.
I drink & eat in this pub regularly and know the customers and staff well. The ales in this pub are superb and very well kept, to the point that, it is a favourite with the local branch of Camra, the ale experts. Also, i happen to know that the food is all homemade with locally supplied produce, some is deep-fried, but only what should be, as with every other quality pub. Hundreds of people in the last three years have left comments like "fantastic, the best i have ever had, and that is just about certain dishes on the menu. This pub is what most other pubs should be, quality. You have clearly demonstrated that you really dont know what you are talking about and should keep your opinions to yourself. Well done the Chequer Inn, Steyning, keep up the good work.

Terrible, bits floating in the beer, Landlord has no clue, full of idiots who look like they want a fight.
