I come to Hull on a regular basis, My ship is berthed very near to this Pub. At first the beer was very strange to a Neverlander, but one gets used and find your beer is good.
A nice pub, and nice people. I just came for my 4th visit.

I visit Hull a lot and Oh what difference I found in here after a very un-friendly drink in the Zachariah Peerson just round the corner, on the freeway. This little place is all smiles with good beer and friendly faces. I will go back for sure.

I visit Hull from The Netherlands regular, but won't visit this bar again. Very slow service and sometimes all the staff go into the office then when the come back say it is time to drink up. Then never said that we are about to stop serving, and no clock.
Also they have some nasty customers, one told me he was once a Hit-Man for a London Mob, and I should leave if I had a complaint. He was drinking with other shady customers, so I don't think he was a staff member.

Admiral of the Humber, Hull
I come to Hull regally from to Nederland’s and I made out a poor review of the Zachariah Pearson’s so I was a little reluctant to enter another J. D. Wetherspoons.
I remembers this as a furnishing store, so I entered. The bar is large with a long serving bar counter and the pace was no all that busy so a bartender comes to serve me. I order a pint of Abbots beer, as I don’t stand at bars on more I find a empty table, the tables and chairs are so high! Just my fit so maybe a Dutchman makes them LOL!
I drank two pints of Abbots, it was good, and the service was good on both trips to the bar. On looking about I recognised so some people from my visit to the Zac Pearson, one even waved a greeting, that he remembered me.
In whole I enjoyed this visit; I stay a little as a loner and was not bothered by anyone. But got a feeling by looking around that most of the drinkers were on a poverty level, and came from poor backgrounds. I visited on a late Monday afternoon. And think it would be a different story, say late at the weekends.
