I recently ate at this place oh my the food is awfull i was told by the former head chef none of the food is fresh and is all made 3 days in advance so they can just reheat in the microwave i believe all the baroosh pubs do this the old fighting cocks seems to be the only place that cooks from fresh id go there much better value for money and all food is fresh. Also the chefs in the peahen are not even qualified avoid this place

I went to this place last sunday and would like to say a big thankyou for their hospitable service the beef was cooked to my liking and my wife who is vegetarian also enjoyed the nutroast and all trimmings

I went on a wednesday night after a shoot with friends lol whoever said to me the liver was pink must of been blind as it came out braised felt like but last week was e sawdust was terrible the week before was fantastic the specials even looked like rereal specials. So I decided maybe the new chef was off work that day so I took my wife to try again the food had a slight smell like it was off I wont be going back shame but I will admit the beer is nice but very overpriced �4 for a pint of peroni is ridiculous and the manager stunk of alcohol wasnt very pleasant

DONT BOOK THIS place for any buffets as some very good friends of mine booked this place for an engagement party on the 30th but when they went in last week with buffet ideas was told by the manager that his holiday home has a leak and would have to travel out on the 30th to fix it the manager also said he was going to tell james my friend about this but he forgot so didnt tell him even though james only works down the road 2 mins away he didnt even offer another date for them the reason i am writing this is to warn you to think about where you book for your special occasions i wouldnt book this place. Luckily james managed to get another place down the road called the engineer the manager pete was sooo nice even got them a roof for the garden.
