Completey gutted and attractively refurbised but with the pub retaining a nice atmosphere and decor, opened just before Christmas there is now a large Brasserie dining area where the old tumble down buildings used to be. The bar staff were friendly and attentive, and the pub is extremely popular serving a good range of beers, Otter Amber Ale, Meantime London Pale and Fullers London Pride, the house red wine was also extremely good. Pretty good and still feels like a pub, albeit a modern up-market version

Now totally refurbished and re-created, a very attractive and quaint pub, always busy, so must be doing something right, however its success can lead to food of variable quality and service can take a long while. Recently a group of walkers were told that coffee would be a 20 minute wait, on a Sunday afternoon.

Spent many pleasant trips to this pub, last Summer, after walking my dog on the nearby heathland. It has a good sized garden and welcomes well behaved dogs. The landlord is always welcoming and serves a decent pint of London Pride.
Slightly off the main road where it's nearest neighbour The Four Horseshoes does an un-justifiable roaring trade, The Red Lion is now starting to be discovered, they do a great honest Sunday lunch of simply Beef, Lamb or Chicken but booking is suggested.
A little gem, smart, clean and tidy.

The White Hart, Chobham
Has been a Bluebeckers restaurant for many years (22), closed after Christmas 2014, scheduled to re-open as a foodie pub in March 2015, making it a competitor to The Sun Inn 50 metres along the High Street.
2 modern pubs in sleepy old Chobham!
