The Counting House, Blackpool

What a dump, plastic g;lasses at 3:00pm on a Friday in mid January. Pleasant watress but poor attitude by male member of staff behind the bar. This would have scored a zero had it not been for the girl who served the food and cleared the glasses, sorry, plastics.

All beers electric and cloudy at that, something wrong on the lead in to the weekend.

The Catcher in the Rye, Finchley

Pretty poor; what kind of barmaid sits the glass on the drip tray and (tries to) pull a pint at arms length as if deeming it a dirty act. Nuts at �3.50 what's going on (politely declined). Proper con along with poor quality service. Can't comment on the quality of the beer as it was spoilt as it went in to the glass by the amatuer bar maid. Wonder what Adnams might have to say ( if they only knew!) If the rest of the brewers knew they would probably decline to be represented here.

The Midnight Bell, Leeds

ill informed bar maid with attitude spoiled our visit even more than the cloudy (and slightly over warm) Pale which was willingly changed for a poorly pulled Best. Our glasses felt un-clean on the outside (as if they had been rinsed with dirty water), guess this was on the inside as well. Won't be rushing back.

Dun Cow Inn, Sedgefield

Can't understand why this place only employs miserable staff. The food is good if a little over priced and pretentious undersized. They have 4 ales, always Black Sheep and Theakstons Bitter plus two that change (sometimes). Shame the bar staff don't know how to pull them or use a decent tulip! With better training and some genuinely happy and pleasant staff this would rank higher.
