Mitre, Bradmore

Brilliant place. The manager is fantastic, really friendly, interesting guy. The food is apparently legendary, although I've never sampled it myself.

Reasonable prices. Clean. Nice decor. I'd recommend it.

Sadly it may cir cum to the recession, despite its merit I haven't seen it full (although I've only been in, in the afternoon). So visit before it's too late!

Varsity, Wolverhampton

Pretty good place. Probably best for a night out. It can be quite dark sometimes, which does subtract from the nice interior. The floor is sticky too which is really annoying. The staff professional and friendly. The prices can be a little on the high side, pitcher of Jager Bull 16...across the road in Royal London, 9.95.

The menu sounds fantastic, wide variety and competitive prices. In reality it's very disappointing and as a result I've only ate there once. The food was very slow, approx 50 mins for 4 meals and 2 sides. I'd love to say it was worth the wait - It wasn't.

Good if you just want a drink and a chat, bit of a change of scenery to your regular. Good for a night out.

The Posada, Wolverhampton

A few of my friends like this place, I don't really know why. Only been in there once, wasn't my cup of tea. Dark and cramped. Although the beer garden was OK. A mediocre place.

Goose In The City, Wolverhampton

Whenever i've been in it's been pretty empty (around lunch time). The staff are pleasant, the prices are very competitive. Nothing to complain about. Nice place.

The Litten Tree, Wolverhampton

The pub would best suit football/sport fans, several large HD plasma screens doted around the place, projector at the back. Above average service, polite etc. Reasonable prices. Typical working class type pub, although not rough.

I eat there quite frequently, they serve good food, great all day breakfast, although perhaps the chef should opt for slightly better quality sausages. The place does get very crowded at times and you can hardly hear yourself think. Not for everyone, but on a quiet day pretty nice place.

Royal London, Wolverhampton

A few months ago I would have had to agree with the majority of posts about staff service, it was awful. It appears to have changed now, as far as I can tell they've replaced the old staff apart from one women. The service is good now, nothing to complain about.

I eat there regularly, great gammon and eggs btw, only bad thing I've had is a mixed grill which consisted of some of the worst cuts of meat I've paid for - 80% fat, unchewable.

Reasonable prices, very good variety and price of pitchers compared to other similar places. Pretty good variety of drinks, although it is a bar, so don't expect a wide variety of ales etc.

The Merry Hill, Wolverhampton

I've poped into this pub occasionally for a little over a year. It's what I'd call a typical medium sized pub. The atmosphere is far from hostile, the staff are fine, although nothing great but certainly bad. I've yet to order food. Overall a nice place.
