The Greyhound, Wivenhoe

Kept meaning to write a review of this pub as I went here twice during the summer when they had a live band on in the garden at it was great!

The owner (short lady called Ali or Abbey?) was really good fun and she sat and drank with us most of the night.
.
The beer inside the pub was expensive but they sold cans of stella and so on from a shed in the garden for about i think �1-50 and a glass of wine for �2.

I was surprised but real grateful that the manageress let us have a quite spliff at the bottom of the garden as it made the time fly by! Both times It was way gone 1am until we had to go but i dont know if they have these late drinks every night but I cant wait to go again! Top Nights!

MUCH better now Chelsea is the landlady!

A nice clean pub, with entertaining regulars, very good beer, rugby on the TV, and a very cute Aussie barmaid - what more do you need?

Yet another pub lost because of high taxation, profiteering by breweries, and a stupid ill-considered smoking ban...
