Millstone, Darwen

Feels like a pub should. Full of good atmosphere , great live bands and friendly staff. Real ale always available but limited to Thwaites beers only. No cheap offers so doesnt attract the "cheapskates". A must visit if you are in the town centre.

nice pub. good beer garden. definatly one to enjoy when the sun is out.

a very unfriendly pub. Takes ages to get served if you are not a regular.

Marigolds, Darwen

Run down and scruffy. Not a pleasant environment for a couple or group. Bands think the louder they play the better they are. A lot of the customers looked very young. Better late night venues at Millstone or Bridgewater.

not one for the outsider. popular with local bikers.
