The Everyman Bistro, Liverpool
this place is a hole....literally. It has been demolished.

Very friendly staff who know about the drinks they are selling. The food was very nice and reasonably price. Loved the decor. Cant wait to go back.

I wouldnt go out of my way to go to this pub, but luckily it is very close to the station so there is no need to go out of my way. Its a big pub, the beer is good, the food is good for the standard pub food that it is. If you have time to kill waiting for a train, I would recommend a pint and a burger here.

There were so many glasses on the tables outside I was amazed they had any inside at the bar. But they must have had plenty because they were in no rush to collect the empties.
The food was okay, but nothing to rush back for.

Crooke Hall Inn, Standish Lower Ground
Under going a much needed refurb when I went in today. Would like to go back when its finished.

One of the best pubs along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. Worth seeking out for the wide range of beers, this would be a good pub in a city like Liverpool, here in Skipton it is a very pleasant surprise. I would like to go back to do some proper drinking sometime.

The Royal Shepherd Inn, Skipton
The beer is good, Copper Dragon, but this pub clearly hasn't seen much change in the last 20 years or more. There are much better pubs within a couple of minutes walk.

Situated between a busy road and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal this is a fairly standard restaurant-pub. Strangely it did not have any Copper Dragon beer despite being over the road from their brewery. The staff were efficient. it was fine.

I couldnt see any point in going to this pub unless you were staying at the travel tavern next door. Bland, lacking atmosphere, pointless.

Very nice pub which concentrates on food. We had the Keys Burgers which were very nice and more than we could eat. The Copper Dragon beer was lovely. The staff were good and were coping well with the busy lunchtime crowd. One of thebest pubs for food on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

The Barge Inn, Bradford on Avon
Very nice food and a good selection of beer. I will be back!

We had a really nice meal here last night, the staff were very friendly, they had a nice guest beer on tap. The pub has a friendly relaxed atmosphere and I would have liked to have stayed longer. Cant wait to go back.

I was disappointed by the 2 pints I had here after hearing so much about this pub. The food was okay but a bit over priced for what it was. I expected better, maybe this was just an off day. The pub needs a refurb too.

The Frog and Nightingale, Chester
The food was poor, the beer wasnt good, the "music" ensured no one sat inside, the service was grim. Wouldnt go back again.

Very smartly refurbished. There are only two tables outside the front door but the inside is very nice. They had a few real ales on, one might have been sat in the pipes for a while but it was good to see they had them available. The food is very impressive, the usual pub food with a bit of a twist and very reasonably priced. I am looking forward to going back for more.

A very popular pub next to the river. It was very busy on Sunday with people having their Sunday lunch. the staff were very good. The building is smart and lawns outside are perfect for a summertime drink.

The pub wont win any awards for being pretty but it has a very good selection of beer on tap and they also do a mean cocktail. There was a great atmosphere in the evening, the pub was busy but I didnt have to wait to be served and even had the drinks brought over to our table.

Despite being very busy the food came really quickly (much quicker than the 30mins we were told it would be) and was very nice. The food is surprisingly well priced. It would be nice to go back when it isnt quite so busy. The outdoor seating is nice if the weather suits.

Not a great selection of drinks at the bar but this pub has the best pub food in Liverpool. The Sunday roasts are amazingly good value, and they actually look and taste like a real person has made them! No re-heated microwave meals here.
The pub can get very very busy when the students are in town and there is a big Gaelic football match on. I have often been the only English person in this busy Irish pub.

The Fly in the Loaf, Liverpool
One of the best pubs in Liverpool. It has an amazing range of beers, almost too many to chose from. Luckily the staff are on hand to help you make your mind up. The staff are some of the best in the city, they can serve 4 people at once and not make mistakes. It can get very busy on some Friday nights. There is never any trouble in this pub.

Ye Olde Custom House Inn, Chester
We stopped in for a quick pint. It has a mix of chairs and tables and those brown sofas that were popular in pubs of the 1990s. The food seemed popular, the standard pub meals. The pub was fine and I would have no problem going back if I was passing by.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon, the pub was busy, the Wales - Scotland rugby match was on the TV. We had no trouble finding a table however, the dining room upstairs looks very nice. I had a pint of Thin Ice which was nice. We had the fish and chips and the gammon, both about 10 each. The food was very good and plenty of it. The fish came with a lot of chips, and it was a shame that neither of us could manage to eat them all. The staff were very good. It may be a pub for eating in rather than just drinking but I will be going back to try some more real ale. It must be one of the best pubs in the city.

Had a very nice meal there next to a real fire on a very cold winters day. The staff were very friendly, the food very nice and came quickly. Couldn't find fault at all. I can see why it was busy while the other pubs in town were empty.

There is no doubting the quality and diversity of the beers and ciders. Sadly the pub lets itself down on its interior. The Ship and Mitre desperately needs a refurb, and on my last visit the whole pub smelt like a urinal.

The Scarisbrick Arms re-opened in December 2009, it will be a bar, restaurant and B&B when finished.

The Bell House, Camden
Had a decent pint of Deuchars on a sunny afternoon. Worth stopping off for a pint if you are walking the Regents Canal.
