Great sign outside with the picture of Dilys Cadwallader who was the first woman to win the Crown at the National Eisteddfod which was held on the field over the road in 1953. The pub was built a couple of years later and was named after her.

Welcoming landlord and good choice of beers (normally local Welsh beer on offer). Small bar and outside toilets so poor for disabled.

The Offas Dyke Hotel, Broughton
I remember this pub being built in the 1970s together with the adjacent housing estate on the woods. In centre of village and a basic local that does food, but can be very smoky.
It is registered on the site as being in Cheshire when it is actually in Flintshire, Wales. However, the landlord obviously also thinks that the pub is five miles down the road in England as he displays England flags every two years when they qualify for the World Cup or European tournement - despite the fact that Welsh people do not support England. Most of us are supporting Trinidad & Tobago this time in the World Cup as two Wrexham players represent Trinidad.
