The Alford Arms, Frithsden

Visited this pub recently on my way home. Uncertain as to what the fuss is all about. Good beer, good wine, excellent food. A fine little pub.

The Robin Hood, Guildford

Went into The Robin Hood a couple of weeks ago after a long while. It was sad to see all the staff sacked from the pub down the road for various indiscretions including drugs and stealing working behind the bar and some of the customers barred for similar reasons. The ales were poor, and too abundant for a pub this size. I will not be returning.

The Royal Oak, Guildford

Popped into this little pub for the first time in a few months. I always used to come in for a pint of London Pride, which was the best pint of Pride in town, and a baguette. What has happened to this lovely little pub? The staff were all smiley, happy and capable, the place was clean and polished. Now the place has an air of complete neglect, the man I think is the landlord is unshaven and scruffy looking, the food unpleasent, the ale worse.
