The Slubbers Arms, Huddersfield
One of the best pubs in Huddersfield if you like a traditional back street boozer. No juke box, no fruit machine, no TV, if you want them go to a "trendy" bar. If you like a selection of well kept real ales, friendly staff and locals and simple honest bar meals you won't go wrong here. The decor is full of nick nacks handed down through time and a real fire makes the place even cosier, although with 30 people in here it will feel crowded. It is about a 10/15 minute walk from the centre of town and the only pub worth a visit in the area but when they are this good you don't need to go anywhere else.

What a cracking find. A group of us in the area on business staying in the nearby Brittannia Hotel and needing a pub with real ale (London Pride) and not overpriced. This place hit the spot, friendly full of character and only 2 mins from the hotel, simply leave hotel, go down the steps opposite, turn left and you're there. I have a reason to do more business in London.

The Queens Head, Allens Green
I live in Yorkshire but when I travel south to see friends this is my pub of choice. They keep things simple, good beer, friendly staff, trouble free environment. Plus Richard who works there is a really nice guy.
