A little expensive and the "tapas" is really not up to much. Nice building and lively atmosphere on a thursday night though and my boyfriend had no complaints about the beer.

My new local. Good pub with good food, although a little pricey.

The Wenlock Arms, Hoxton

I have been to this pub a few times after work with colleagues and have had some brilliant cider and even more brilliant salt beef sandwiches. However, I went in a couple of Saturdays ago with my boyfriend, after shopping at the Angel, and was horrified. We left after about 20 minutes as there was an ugly group of seemingly "local" men, old enough to know better, screaming vile childish abuse (including sexist) at the top of their voices. I really like this pub generally but will probably only go back weekdays as I haven't experienced these idiots before. Maybe it was a one off. Any ideas?
