Unbelievably slow food service and when you raise it as an issue with the staff, they couldn't give a stuff.

If you enjoy being confronted by a large barking, snapping dog when you enter a pub, then this is the place for you. Otherwise it should be avoided.

New range of beers available, Landlord, 6X, Youngs Special, Swift One and Reverend James.

I last went here about ten years ago. It wasn't great and to be honest isn't much better now. Only Doom Bar available as a cask ale. Although there was an open fire, the bar still managed to be cold. I didn't try the food.

A jolly nice pub. Nicely furbished bar, with big open fire, and restaurant area. Doom Bar in good order, Landlord and Forty-Niner also available. Food good too, (Liver and bacon and banoffee pie).

This pub was refurbished as a late bar some while ago. It serves decent Thai food during the day.

Nicely refurbished, opening up old ceilings and fireplaces. Five real ales on tap and no lagers or stouts that anyone has ever heard of. Food good, but on the pricey side for lunch, except for the baguettes. Not open in the afternoon, which is a bit odd for a pub halfway between the station and the market square.

Recently refurbished. Four bitters on tap. Reasonable food. Barman's English limited.

Now called the Black Sheep. Under new management with Youngs beers (well kept so far) and cheese platters as their main food offering.

Be careful what you wish for: This pub has changed hands. The beer and decor are still good and the food has got more expensive and is now good, but the service time is awful. Half an hour for a sandwich.

Haven't been in here for a while, but the Doom Bar was good and so was the food (Toulouse Sausages).

Nice pint of Doom Bar, nice Sunday lunch and a good buzz about the place.

What a cracking little place this is. Just how a pub from two hundred years ago would look. Beer straight from the barrel in the back room. Slight grumble about the food. Very cheap and unfortunately it showed. Up the prices and the quality a bit.

The back bar seems to be fitted out for WW2, only Alvar Liddell reading the news was missing. Nice and cosy for a Pompey fan held up at Donny station on the way back from Scunny.

Good beer, good food and good service, but a bit too much focus on the locals.

Beer ok. Not too busy at this time of year. No particular pressure to order food.

Pleasant enough, but a bit quiet at this time of year.

The Hole int' Wall, Bowness on Windermere
Interesting interior and good beer, but the regulars come first at this time of year.

Really nice pub. HSB good and ham, egg and chips followed by treacle tart very good too.

Much better since the change of management and the refurbishment. Both a while ago now. The bitter is still good and the food is the standard Greene King menu.

Nice Sunday Roast. Proper roast potatoes and apple sauce with the pork. Abbot Ale to a good standard.

The Old House At Home, Havant
Sandwiches served with very stale bread.
Club sandwich bears no relation to any club sandwich you have ever seen before, and made with stale bread.
