This pub deserves the rating it has got. The last two times I went in (about an year apart) there was no real ale despite it being advertised. The place is as noise as a cattle market and the bar staff are surly. Only saving grace is location - good place to meet and go somewhere better!

This is a reliable boozer as far as I'm concerned. Always a good choice of beers and food during the week is not bad. Decor is a bit tatty but it hasn't been decorated for about 10 years. Bit more down market than Nags Head but probably a better pub for that. Big back yard (not really a garden). Nowhere to park your bike though have to lock it outside.

I think this is one of the best local pubs although the a pint of real ale is a bit pricy. Adnams Broadside, and London Pride are usually on along with a guest beer and Mild! Some people don't like the decor but I think it's great. Also has space to park your bike although the could do with better "locks"

A good local but real ale not always as reliable as the Sister Pub (Nags Head round the corner). Food is good when it is on. Usually reliable for a quiet pint except when they have a music evening on.

The Coppermill Tavern, Walthamstow
A great little boozer. The bar is tiny. I understand it used to be an even smaller off licence. Beer generally good. Only place for a drink between Blackhorse Road and Walthamstow Marshes. No cycle parking but you can sit outside in the Summer.
