I like this bar. I have never been on a weekend because i stay out of Uxbridge on a weekend, too much agro for me (21 year old male with a skin head!!)
i have to say though that when i have been there during the week it is very pleasant. the bar staff are very friendly and the range of drinks on offer is superb. As for the cocktails being expensive, i don't recall haveing seen them anywhere else for much cheaper, that is just the going rate for a cocktail.
All in all, a nice place to get hammered!!!

I worked here a few years ago and i popped back for a pint last week. Although i can see most arguements with regards to service from both sides of the fence. In this case however, i have to side with the old regulars i spoke to, it is in a bad way. the place doesn't take enough cash and therefore Wetherspoons will not allow more staff hours. It needs a very experienced team of good managers if it is going to survive.
ps; when it becomes non-smoking, i really cannot see who is going to go there.

I'm pleased to see that no-one has really given the bar-staff too hard a time, thanks for that!! As you may have seen, O'Neill's is over 21 on fri and sat night in order to combat the 'Chav epidemic' which is sweeping blackheath. this is YOUR chance to sweep in and return the pub to it's former glory.
A pub reflects the customers. If the customers are cool, the atmosphere is better, therefore the staff turnover isn't as high and they can get good at their job because they are there for longer.
So if you are cool and groovy, swing by, if you're a bit of a knob, please don't, you won't be made to feel very welcome.

the staff are people not robots, furthermore they are good staff. if you want the permanent smile and 'have a nice day' go to Mc Donalds. the staff there are spot on and sometimes might have a bad day. They work in a very pressured environment and sometimes might be concentrating on gettin the orders done asap rather than giving false pleasantries to every customer.
