Much improved, modern pub. Used to be a bit of a dive. Beer is so so, food is so so. Big screen and Karaoke. Friendly and comfortable.

They have regular guest beers- generally well kept. Does well with food - and the staff are pretty on the ball.

This used to be a great, traditional pub with a small bar. Changed in the last few year to a much more upmarket establishment - but you can have a beer while the old ladies drink coffee and the kids bounce around. AAAGGHHHH.

All The pubs in Borth are about 20-30 miles from Aberdovey - unless you swim the estuary - not advised. A quiet locals pub. Mike, the boss, looks like an old hippy but is always courteous and watches the customers to see who's waiting instead of gossipping to his mates. The beer is ok. Inside the pub it's a bit like an antique shop - upstairs there is one! His opening hours seem a little erratic but generally from 7 in the evening - not at lunchtime.

The Railway was taken over by a local lad a couple of years ago. The pub is lively and sometimes raucus - lots of swearing in the bar if you go for that sort of thing. I stopped going there for a while but things seem to be settling down - I think the boss is getting more of a grip now.

The Vic has changed hands this year and is no longer lilac. It has been taken over by Punch and is white and quite smart. They still do a decent pint and the food is good.
No doubt there will be things happening there but I don't know what yet.

The Haygate, Wellington
Went in for the first time a couple of weeks ago - very late - dragged in by oldest son. Pleasantly surprised - very loud music just finishing but pool tables, friendly staff and atmosphere
