Now reopened as "Wildwood" more a restaurant than a pub, no real ales. Food is good, mainly Italian styled, beers all bottled and expensive. As a pub useless, as a restaurant reasonable. Randyray - 12 Jan 2009 12:13 |
Went there today and shocked to find it closed down just a few days ago. Local press says M&B have sold their 2 Gerrards X pubs [this and "French Horn"] to a developer with the proviso that they must not be reopened as pubs. Absolutely disgraceful! This was a good pub. John_R - 5 Apr 2008 18:36 |
Best pub in Gerrards cross. is generally quiet, and is spacious. On fridays and saturday nights it can get a bit livlier and is the social point for many younger locals. Decent range of lagers, currently have cobra on tap which is nice. food is typical prepackaged pub food, but is reasonably priced for gerrards cross. CHELSEA_on_tour - 4 Oct 2007 14:16 |
If you look under 18, have ID on you at all times. I got ID'd for a J2O at about 5pm there once. But apart from that, it's probably the least pretentious place in the whole of Gerrards Cross. Really good for both food or just drink meet-ups. dimah - 23 Mar 2007 15:26 |
Not a traditional English pub at all, but a comfortable place to meet up and chat. A good range of drinks and the food is much better than most chain pub fare. Used by all types and the sort of place where a lady can go for a glass of wine on her own and feel comfortable. Popular with lunching business people. beezer - 8 Dec 2005 11:27 |
