The Priory has closed and re-opened as the Brook & Barter. It's still not a proper pub. dlandoncole - 14 Jun 2016 12:23 |
Nearly five years on from the last comment and there's nothing positive to report. I've been in three times. The first time of my own accord to see what it was like (ghastly), and twice, kicking and screaming by 'friends' who assured me it had got better (it hadn't). The third (and final) time we walked out without getting a drink as it seemed anything that needed pouring (as opposed to being opened or served from an optic) was beyond the capabilities of the bar stewards (spellcheck required). The only thing to be said in it's favour is that it keeps most of the dregs out of the few remaining decent pubs in the town. arBitter_of_taste - 5 Apr 2010 17:35 |
Absolutley Ghastly place. The fact that whoever suggested the Priory didn't have the intelligence to actually list it as being in St. Neots rather than 'Market Square' probably tells you something about the clientele this lager/alcopop barn attracts. Your standard range of fake foreign lagers and designer Vodkas etc; your standard range of inebbriated Chavs and Chavettes; your standard range of non-descript booming 'music.' Apparently it's not too bad a place for a coffee and light lunch, so my Auntie says, but once Eastenders and Corrie have finished - forget it! Al_Murray - 16 May 2005 13:40 |
