I went here the other weekend for Sunday roast with family. Lovely Sunday roast, not too much on the plate but enough to get your fill, Reasonably priced and the selection of beer is good, staff were friendly, Only been here once and will definately go back. oliver07 - 14 Oct 2011 10:24 |
A funny Pub used twice when in the area visiting relatives a combination of Chavs and regulars looks like time has stood still on my 2 separate visits the same people where at the bar probably talking about the same thing and looked like life would pass them by food looked good and seemed fair priced Beers Fosters San Miguel Stella Strongbow couple of real ales (would not like to try these as the bar man was drinking J smiths smooth and if he cant trust his own ales then drunkincharge - 14 Aug 2010 00:57 |

Not a bad pub. It caters a great deal for people who drive up at lunchtime from Medway City Estate and the focus is heavily on food. It has a some character and is a well known pub locally, having moved away from it's earlier origins of the 1970's and 1980's when it was known for live music and for being a bit tatty. Now, it looks and feels quite smart and is a good place to go if you fancy a quiet pint without sitting in a morgue. The clientele are good natured and the staff are generally polite and friendly. Overall, it has a good deal going for it but it lacks character and focuses a bit too heavily on food. Dunmall - 18 Jan 2009 10:14 |
A pub and pub restaurant. Though a decent amount of space is given to the pub area on the right, the smell of chips permeates everywhere giving the distinct impression this is more of an eatery than a place to drink. The Best was tired, though drinkable. The ship's gun ports above the bar are a nice touch in an otherwise fairly characterless pub. SilkTork - 13 Mar 2007 18:33 |
