Very loud and busy on a Saturday might. It's a cocktail bar rather than a pub, although I did notice that bottles of Bombardier were available. There were several groups of young girls and more middle-aged ladies who were dressed up to the nines. We made our excuses and left. Number11 - 16 Feb 2014 20:59 |
The Snug Bar The powers that be have gone for a bistro come cocktail bar with lists of coffees and iced teas available, but no draught and only limited bottles of lager. There was a guitarist doing a set whilst I was there, but none of the other six punters were listening to him. The barmaid was nice, but Ill not be returning. Strongers - 8 Oct 2009 16:24 |
The Duncombe arms was not renamed the Snug Bar, you have the wrong pub. The Snug Bar is a couple of doors along from the Duncombe arms and 2 very different places. The Duncombe is a large comfortable town centre Greene King pub, while the Snug bar which has previously called several names...O'Neills being one, has gone through many changes and at this moment in time is a small bar desperate for a a refurb, and not recommended. jessionlocation - 15 Jul 2009 01:12 |
Er, not sure whats going on here but The Duncombe Arms still exists and is basically almost next door. So if your coming down Station Road from the station end go past the Snug and the Duncombe Arms is about 50 yards up on the left. So this place was obviously something else..
