Nice enough JDW. Good beer and friendly service. mjbea1 - 23 Sep 2014 22:20 |
Very cheap pint of beer. That must be commended. You dont go into a Wetherspoons to eat just phone up Brakes brothers and order directly. A slightly more civilised crowd than you average member of this chain. It is what it is. No complaints from me and I do pop in when shopping for a swift half, makes it all the more tolerable. Not quite as good as its opposite number in Tunbridge Wells, but this is still an above average Wetherspoons, which boasts decent food, toilets and beer. Ok too on the service and decor fronts, with a diverse and friendly clientele, this pub is a pleasant enough pit stop. nominateddiver - 1 Dec 2011 16:16 |
Walked in, Was ignored by the staff, Observed the usual Weatherspoons pre-midday crowd, a few crutches here, a neckbrace there and a couple of black eye's to complete the cosmopolitan, sophisticated ambience. Walked out. qualityhound - 9 Jul 2010 11:07 |
Medium-sized, civilised 'spoons. Busy, but not crowded, at lunchtime. Small outside area at the back for smokers, but you could hardly call it a beer garden. Ten handpumps - one doubled-up (Ruddles) - and another three 'Available soon' when I last visited, but one could hardly complain because these were being got ready for a Dorking Brewery 'meet the brewer' event later that evening. Had a nice pint of stout-ish Molly Malone from Weltons of Horsham; excellent value at 2.15. rpadam - 27 Feb 2010 14:57 |
