visited this restaurant as a party of five (4 adults and one child) for the first and last time. It was a very busy Friday night, the buffet service gave a distinct impression of a busy self service canteen, The majority of the party wasn't particularly impressed with the standard or variety of the food but this may be because they try to cater for to many tastes. The choices offered are Indian, Chinese, Thai and English. The quality of food wasn't particularly good and the curries were watery. We went to this particular restaurant because some members of the party wanted to eat Indian and some wanted Chinese. This type of restaurant is only cost effective for people who like to try different foods or pile their plates and keep returning for more helpings. However if you like dessert you could be disappointed as your only choice is cheap vanilla, chocolate or strawberry ice-cream. There was a separate menu of other desserts (all ice-cream based) at an extra cost. There was a waiter dispensing the ice-cream, who was very grumpy. My child took time deciding on his choice of flavour, the waiters response was impatient, rude and intolerant. Three of the party ordered soft drinks which were served warm and we had to ask for ice to make them palatable to drink. Waiters were like flies.......waiting to collect plates, on occasions before you were finished, giving the distinct impression they wished to hurry you through the meal in order to fill the table again. williams12 - 16 Feb 2008 14:43 |
I, am a curry lover, When i first come to Wolves recently i saw this resturant driving up here. It is..the worst one Ive ever been too. Seriously people, avoid. The meat is dry, the sauce is bland, the mint sauce is a new type made with cornflower which only seems to appear round these parts that is cheap and nasty. If this does not convince you i invite you to go along and Baulk at the prices of the drinks on your bill while your freaked out by the soft toy collection. CS Chris_sub - 7 Mar 2007 21:03 |
Now actually named Copper Bowl,a pub with adjoining indian restaurant and buffet style eat's,lunch and evening. Good reputation, main road location but not overly busy. Mark E - 9 Oct 2004 22:23 |
