| Went in on the off chance, many years since my previous visit. Although the door was unlocked, I initially I thought that the place was closed once I got inside. As it turned out, this was not far off the mark since the place will be shut for good next Wednesday. No real ale on, so had to make do with keg Whitbread Best. Had a sad but interesting chat with the landlord who was able to explain in the starkest possible terms how Enterprise Inns make running this sort of community pub almost impossible in the present economic circumstances. | Fairly nice pub, visited a couple of weeks ago, seems good although the wait at the bar when we first walked in was a little annoying, the bar seemed to be unattended, we actually thought the pub was closed. My friends beer was also served in a warm glass but when mentioned the bar girl replaced the drink immedietly and was very apologetic yvonnechart - 12 Oct 2006 10:06 |
