this is the only pub in Rhyl in the Good Beer Guide. If this is the best pub in town, then god knows what the rest are like ! Horrible place with clueless staff and dubious customers Martinsh - 6 Oct 2014 22:55 |
Better than expected, 5 handpumps on last week. I chose Banks Lions Roar and Brains Summer Ale i think it was called. Both kept well and only £2.10 a pint, other ales on included Bishops Finger, Abbott and something else. Ate in here as well, standard spoons food, service was good and served quickly, place is a bit tired and could do with a refurb soco1982 - 2 Jul 2014 15:30 |
Modern looking 'spoons in the pedestrian shopping area of Sussex Street. 10 hands pumps of which only 6 beers were on, 4 beers were displayed as coming soon, 1 american guest, 1 Welsh beer, Ruddles, Abbot and 2 from the West Midlands. I opted for a pint of mild from a Wolverhampton brewery, very good and great value at £2.15. Busy on the afternoon I visited with lots of food being consumed, but i didn't see any on the floor. Infact there was a chap who was cleaning tables almost quicker than the food was being eaten! Decent 'spoons which was better than expected given the look of the other pubs I walked past to get here! lezford - 29 Sep 2013 12:35 |
If you like food on the floor, food not cleared off the tables and dirty glasses then this is pub for you, its one of the worst weatherspoons ive been to angryman - 18 Jul 2013 22:54 |
A gloomy pub in a scruffy town. It originally was the Rhyl Old Comrades Club. One of Wetherspoons' pubs that has that impression of a converted entrance to a coal mine! 3 guest ales on. Service was acceptable. I would not consider visiting again. wyndham - 11 Sep 2011 19:55 |
