| We arrived to be greeted by a very pleasant lady who told us yes they had a table for four and that it would be ten minutes before we could go up to the carvery. That we were prepared to wait. | the punchbowl has a bad rep from the previous years but i went there with my partner last night and found that the rep is unfounded the food is superb,the staff r very friendly(ask for ann if shes working)and all in all i had a very good experience! deeznutts3778 - 28 Jan 2008 22:15 |
| COMPLETE OVERHAUL.NOW A CARVERY.BELIEVE GRUB GOOD BUT NOT TRIED IT MYSELF.ONE TINY ROOM/BAR FOR SMOKERS.NOT SO GOOD AS U ALL PACKED IN ONE TINY SPACE WITH TOO MUCH FURNITURE IN IT. USE TO BE A GREAT LOCAL PUB BUT NOT NOW AS MANY DRIFTED AWAY AFTER RE-FURB. STILL, IT WORTH A VISIT JUST TO SAY "I SURVIVED THE PUNCH BOWL" EVEN IF YOU DID GO WITH 2 ARMS AND COME OUT WITH 1.
