Liked this place! Younger generation bias but OK. Great scoff too. Beer garden was nice and sunny and just the right place for a lunch. Only had 1 real ale on though, Harvey's again. persist_artist - 13 Jul 2008 16:52 |
Looks like a bit of a dodgy hotel bar. If your not mates with the bar staff could take some time to get served on a weekend. looking a bit tatty now. Food and service during the day is fine, although pretty standard cheap food as you would expect for the price your paying. I try to avoid if possible! felix33 - 23 May 2008 23:56 |
Too many almost 18 year olds. Great if you want to pull a cheap bird for the night I am sure you can. As for good ales... well not sure on any of them anonymous - 16 Oct 2007 18:11 |
This pub has great potential!!! It is, therefore, with regret that I have so say forget drinking here in the evenings as you spend more time queuing for a drink (or being elbowed by anti-social "18 year olds") than socialising. No matter what the occasion, there are never enough bar staff and the owners obviously feel it is OK for customers to stand for ages at the bar waiting to be served. However...come in this pub at lunch time and the service is both quick and friendly. The food is also very nice and well presented. There is plenty of room to sit to enjoy your meal without feeling watched over or cramped. This place can only be described as a real "jackal & hyde" pub...but one I would recommend if you are planning a visit during the day but one to avoid if you arrive on a busy evening. This seems to be the party pub for Seaford. Lots of almost 18 year olds and alco pops. It has decent decor and for what it is it seems fine. Only complaint they seem short staffed. Sat night at 7.30 only one barman! namenotfound - 20 Sep 2006 13:13 |
