| Called in on Friday and was surprised to find Hook Norton Copper Ale on the bar. I was even more surprised to find it was less than �2 AND it was a good pint. Still very loud though and so many nicotine bouncers outside it's difficult to even get through the door. ROBCamra - 5 Oct 2009 16:33 |
| Correction. This pub has just reopened. It's now called the Blue Lounge and has been given a pretty good facelift. It has several handpumps but only Thwaites Bomber was on when we called in over the weekend. I didn't try it as I suspect they don't sell very much. They certainly didn't when it was Yates's and the quality was always dire. In theory it also has the real Czech Budweiser Budvar on draft but it wasn't available. Definitely aimed at the younger end of the market with very loud music but has a quieter lounge bit on the left just as you enter. ROBCamra - 9 Dec 2008 15:38 |
