| Set around two fishing lakes with a 'motel' complex for fishermen included, this pub was recommended as 'The place' to eat in north Gloucs. The reality was far from that, a dreary, badly lit pub with average food served on large plates to make it seem more, and decidedly below average beer. The advertising blurb said the same family had been running the pub for 30 years, so how no one seemed to know what they were doing was anybody's guess. The food came out with the wrong accompaniements, the waiter forgot the cutlery and I had to send one pint back, thats not to mention the flies!!.
