Under recent new ownership the main bar has had a spruce up. Doombar, London Pride and Courage on tap plus a decent pint of Guinness. Food is excellent clearly all cooked from fresh and good home cooking. Really nice pub to go for a meal or just a drink. Leeds92 - 14 Apr 2013 19:01 |

I've always found this a friendly pub with good beer and food. Can't see any justification for the negative comments. des44 - 8 Sep 2009 20:04 |
I have been to this pub a couple of times now (Friday lunchtime) and on both occassions I have enjoyed good beer and food that was excellent value for money. Very good service from freindly competant staff, all enjoyed in comfortable surroundings. arferjob - 20 Jun 2009 23:34 |
Fairly average pub - couple ales on the go (Pride and GK IPA, the IPA was good enough). Decent enough inside, didn't seem particularly run-down to me. Could be homely with a couple of mates in on the beer. Menu looked pretty expensive to my eyes, I hope the chef is good, he'll need to be for me to pay that much outside a restaurant! Could take it or leave it, really. There's a lot worse. Quinno - 13 Aug 2008 19:13 |
