There are always single woman at the pub and the pub usually has a good crowd. But the service is poor. The bartenders are novice at what the do. And I don't think they have Bottingtons anymore.

It's the only place in Palo Alto to go get a pint. A little overpriced, and yes, the beer's a little less than cold, but sitting outside on a summer night is a great way to blow off steam. The outside patio is one of the few places left in CA where you can have a smoke and a beer.

Good looking people serve sloppy, overpriced drinks -- often stale and worthless -- to overworked, overpaid, khaki-pleated-panted stuffed shirts on the streets of one of the world's best climactic frontiers.

Avoid this pub if you are a serious pubsman.

Avoid this pub if you are a serious draughtsman.

This pub, after several tries, cannot serve a cold and refreshing beer. It totally fails to satisfy. This pub, in all essence, suck the big bone.

It's too bad, too, because Palo Alto has no other drinking establishment with character.

If you are moving here or have just moved here prepare to be severely and potently and emotionally dissapointed.

The food is neither tradional English pub food nor consistent in its quality and/or presentation. As for the comedy - I disagree that it is "professional" - unless crude is "professional
