The White Swan is on a main road north out of Aylesbury. Aesthetically pleasing from the outside, the welcome inside was warm too. Being a Fullers pub, the ale range was limited to London Pride, Bengal Lancer & Seafarers. But this is a cosy place with 2 rooms at the front of the pub and a separate dining area off to the side. Clearly popular with locals who seemed a friendly enough bunch.

What a great place. Ham egg and chips for me and veggie moussaka for the lady, washed down with excellent vino and a pint of summer ale, all under 25 quid. Sat outside in huge superb garden watching a fairly ropey husband and wife duet run through some love songs. Excellent place and will definitely revisit if in the area. Would love to have the place as our local!!!

nice pub, in a very pretty village right out in some lovely buckinghamshire countryside. a lovely old building, the pub is split between two rooms, nicely kept, real fire, great service and well stored and pulled (fullers) ales.

definatly worth a visit.

The Czech chapter ended up being a rather sad time for the pub - standards of cleanliness soon slipped, as diod the firendliness of the welcome and, frankly, the standard of the food. They never quite got to grips with running a country pub.
The place is now under new and enthiastic management and there are clearly plans to make the place a success. A full redecoration is under way and the menu has been re-written - good, locally source, food.
Watch this space!

Have never posted a review before but having just visited this pub for lunch I agree with everything the last reviewer said. Yes, the new Management are Czech, and yes, everywhere was spotlessly clean, and yes, the food was excellent. The family running the pub are friendly and efficient. My partner had the Fish & Chips and I had Prawn Sandwich which was super value at 3.95. This price included a generous portion of chips, the bread was HOMEMADE! and delicious, the salad was the best I've tasted for a long time and the prawns were plentiful. We did not have to wait long but even if we had, any wait would be worth it for the quality of the food. Will definitely recommend it and intend to visit in the near future to try their Sunday Roast.
