I along with my wife have been regularly going to the Trawlerman for lunch every saturday lunchtime. For the last 15 months we have yet to have a bad meal, always good food hot well cooked and plenty of it.The landlady Claire is always cheery as are her staff who work tirelessly to ensure your visit is to a high standard. As well as good food the liquid refreshment is also a good choice and of high standard cask as well as creamflow. Today 3 meals at the carvery 3 drinks Bank's ale/house red and a tonic water 15.52 bargain in these austere times. Carvery at 3.49 Beat that!!!!! lincsbeachbum - 21 Mar 2009 19:22 |
This pub is fantastic, and such good value for money. The previous reviewer visited last year and this march the pub has had a refurb, and what a change. Its no longer the horrible dark pub it was, its clean, bright and it does a fresh carvery for 3.99, what an amazing value for money meal. The staff were friendly, and the manager seemed to be a good laugh. Top pub A++++++++ robbyd - 3 May 2007 11:55 |
I ate here twice in a weekend (long story), and it was among the worst food I've ever eaten. The pork in the roast dinner my partner had made Bernard Matthews look like top quality meat, the veg were all soggy and tasteless, and the service was very rude. Trapped audience due to the Beachcomber and Thorpe Park holiday sites, but if you're staying there it is certainly worth making the effort to go into the town. bethm - 13 Jun 2006 15:06 |
