Good pub. Decent real ales. Muzzy - 28 Jul 2013 12:10 |
Nice enough pub and a nice enough pint of Hardy & Hanson but it is more noticeably a GK house as the H & H was the only non standard GK offering. Reasonable place but nothing special. anonymous - 17 Jul 2011 16:04 |
Best pub in the world. My local when I was younger but still visit once a year or so when I can. Lovely crowd/staff. Great beers. Haven't eaten there in years so dunno if thats any good. Great quiz. If a little suited to the older generation. tallsam - 25 Jun 2011 16:16 |
Fairly pleasant pub on a hillside and with a good view of the old Hardy & Hansons Brewery building. Beers available were Hardy & Hansons Kimberley Bitter, Castle Rock Elsie Mo and St Austell Proper Job. The music was quite loud in the bar. Another area of the pub was closed off for a private party. The bar area has floorboards whilst the area beyond has red and white tiling. A fairly friendly establishment that was certainly much busier than our previous pub - the Gate at Awsworth. blue_scrumpy - 18 Oct 2010 21:20 |
I cannot comment about the pub but I would suggest to avoid this B&B. To start they request a cash deposit to book a room and if you change your booking (even 24 hours in advance of your stay) they keep the deposit. They are prone to make mistakes while calculating the number of nights and the price they adverstise on some web pages is different from the one they actually charge you. Better to avoid it! anonymous - 19 Sep 2007 19:39 |
