Bit too cramped, smokey, busy and noisy for my liking. Always has been. That said, it's popular for a good reason. It is a nice pub, well run. Just never been my cup of tea. Don't get me wrong, I like a bit of atmosphere, but I tend to avoid pubs where you can't move without nudging someone else's drinking arm. I much prefer it on a quiet afternoon - best avoided on Friday/Saturday, unless you're looking for a large crowd and a long wait to get served... TheG - 13 Jul 2006 18:03 |
