| I've been in a lot of boozers in my time but I do believe that this is the most immaculate looking pub I've ever frequented. | A friend recently stayed here for Bed & Breakfast. He was charged £110 for a basic single room for 2 nights (Friday & Saturday) and was informed bluntly after arrival, "by the way, there's no breakfast, we haven't got any staff on in the mornings". | I went into the pub last night (Sunday 6th Nov). It was quiet but the lady behind the bar was very friendly and the beer was good. They had 4 ales on (including a mild!). It's a good venue. The people who ran it a year or two back spent a small fortune on refurbing the place and then tried to move it upmarket on the food front. It was OK but you need to have some serious wonga to keep the early momentum up. I hope the current management get some support as they seem to be doing the right thing!
