Now called VINTAGE and now a poncey Cocktail bar with very few customers by the look of it. anonymous - 19 Nov 2007 13:24 |
I have to say i disagree with the previous post... OL still is very good value for money especially now they have a new gourmet burger menu and a 3 course set menu for under 14! I think you'd be hard pushed to find food as good and as reasonably priced anywhere in watford! eggface - 21 Sep 2006 14:29 |
The restaurant was great when it first opened and very popular with the local population. The service was great and the food fantastic - it was difficult t get a table without pre-booking. Then they got greedy... The prices went up dramatically, the free bread and inclusive side orders were stopped and the menu was severely reduced. It's now a case of hoping that someone else will come in while you're eating, as the last 3 times we've been there we have been the only ones in there throughout the entire meal. It's a shame as the food and service are still outstanding. If they stopped taking the piss with their prices they could still be doing very well. (And avoid the lunchtime menu offer. If you are expecting their usual standard of food on this menu then you are in for a surprise. They were offering a BOGOF, so we had 2 burgers for 6. It was just that - 2 cardboard, shite, thin 4oz pub burgers in buns. With nothing else. With drinks and chips we could have eaten much better in countless other restaurant for less.) anonymous - 8 Aug 2006 11:22 |
Again, stopped in on a saturday for diner, place wasnt too busy which surprises me. Steaks were fantastic and the service again was excellent!! Really puzzles me why this place isnt packed to the rafters. mrstew - 3 Jul 2006 17:08 |
Stopped in here on a saturday for diner. Great food and service in very nice surroundings. Comparrible to the Gaucho Grill but unlike there, the nicest surprise was the price. Very reasonable at around half the price of the GG. Only criticism is the lap dancing club upstairs however we had left by 10 and didnt notice it. mrstew - 27 Apr 2006 13:33 |
