A comfortable pub with all the Jennings range. Don't miss the quiz on Thursday nights! 16jamesdoc - 29 Oct 2013 16:42 |
Excellent locals pub not far from the canal. Went on a Friday evening, pub was quite busy but enough seating for for our group. Beer was in great condition, the Cumberland Ale was probably the best one Ive ever had, the Cocker Hoop was pretty good to. This is how pubs should be. herbie47 - 9 Sep 2013 09:33 |
Don't be fooled by the dog friendly sign outside. Dogs allowed in a room outside. If i want to drink outside in the pouring rain i could easily go to Morrisons and buy the beer for a 1/3rd of the price and do it!! tutboy - 1 Oct 2010 16:25 |
Outstanding pub (my local) Landlord & Landlady Peter & Hazel are experienced & fine & friendly Landlords they know how to run a GREAT pub. Very friendly, great BEER, you MUST try the Cocker Hoop (REAL ALE) its one of the very BEST pints in Nantwich! They always have at least one guest ALE every week & it sells out FAST! Great BEER garden, one of the biggest & best in Nantwich. All the staff here are friendly, its a great family pub too. So your fine to take your kids. Again all down to Peter & Hazel Gets 9 stars from me, I might be biased as I live right across the road from the oddies, however to get 10 stars then it would need to ADD a lot more choice in REAL ALE, having said that you can't have everything your own way & I am very happy with the ALE they have especially the Cocker Hoop! Be warned though its not a session ALE, its too strong for that, great for a couple of pints. SimonStepsys.com - 2 Aug 2010 15:17 |
Off the beaten track, but worth the walk out of the town centre. Good clientele, charismatic landlord and good quality ale. Didn't eat but food looked wholesome and tasty. topofhehops - 17 Mar 2010 03:16 |
