I believe the explanation for a lack of recent reviews will be due to the fact that this place has closed. I enjoyed the cocktails we had in here years ago though. But am not missing it. owenjones - 6 Mar 2007 12:34 |
One of those nearly there bars, doesn't quite get it right altho it's serve drinks til the last customer goes is a bonus, but the cold concrete industrial look, smoke filled rooms and rather dubious cliental are a big negative. Make sure your there before the grills are pulled down and you can drink all night. But be warned Police station right opposite so no drink driving. charactor - 6 Dec 2004 19:05 |
The Xinc bar is fantastic.I only have been there on a saturday. Is the only place in streatham where the first sat of every month you can have a proper party for just 3 with really loud and underground music from some spanish DJs.The vibe is amazing.Their parties are call CUL DE SAC and it feel like a proper club from the underground scene. I went there for a party and it was really nice. They had nice cocktails and the bar had this fun and funky feel. It reminded me of cheers, the people were all streatham based and some from tooting. The red room, the basement bar was really relaxing and very intimate. I'd say this, having had a few belgian chocklate martinis the basement is where to retire for some good frolics. Tries a bit too hard to be a bit too funky and trendy. Great staff and half decent drinks (Baroque & The Waterfront are better) Always feels a bit cold when empty, but a nicer atmosphere when a bit more full. Forces you to have a double measure for your spirits. They have to realise it isn't SoHo. Lots of potential though. Frankie - 22 Apr 2004 13:16 |
