Reopened! Went in there on Sunday on its second day and was impressed. Although food wasn't on (due to a technical fault) the welcome was warm and the pub inviting. It's a huge boozer with 4 separate parts to it. The mix of punters was pleasingly varied from a young couple playing cards, to seasoned locals and a large local Eastern European family - all seemed to be enjoying themselves.

The jewel in the crown is the garden which will be a real local treasure when summer arrives. Clearly they've got a bit more to do but it's early days in its new life but well worth using if you're a local or in the area.

Not enough staff. Those that are there are unfriendly and treat customers as an interruption to their work rather than the reason for their employment.

One of the doors which is marked as a fire exit is broken and permanently locked. A polite enquiry about this to bar staff is greeted with hostility and agression.

Always use the Heathcote when the O's are at home.A good old east end pub that serves up a good pint of guinness, and can always find a somewhere to sit. It's a old boozer thats slightly worn round the edges, and all the better for it.

Been to this pub about 10 times since first discovering it,Nice friendly clientiele and staff.

It is a large pub-a fair walk or W15 Bus ride from Leytonstone tube station(Central Line)-Comprising a Large Restaraunt area to the front,On the left hand side is the Lounge area which leads to a games area wth two Pool Tables and two dartboards, plus a table football game, this area is also served by a recently installed, excellent Touchscreen Digital Jukebox, where one can play any top 40 song going back to 1952 !.-Beware however if there is football being shown you wil be unable to hear your songs as the football takes priority over music, indeed there is a notice displayed on the jukebox which explains everything-out the very back there is a nice Beer Garden.

Upstairs there is a nice Live Music venue/Function Room.
