This pub has recently changed management (Aug 2011) and they have real ale handpumps on . Will be visiting it soon to give a full appraisal. jasonking - 17 Aug 2011 16:30 |
Dreary, depressing decor (if you can call it that). Rough and ready. Avoid unless you have friends there. If you do then you probably can't read this anyway... ToneLeMoan - 15 Jun 2008 15:31 |
i have visisted most of the pubs in march & i think this one is the best one i have been in,it has a warm welcoming friendly relaxing atmosphere, they have two beer gardens which are very pleasant to sit in when the weather is nice and the back beer garden also has outside heating for when them summer nights turn abit chilli but you want to stay outside, children are also most welcome but are not allowed in main bar area. it has a pool room in the back room if you enjoy a game of pool. the food is very delious with a nice smoke free restaurant where you can relax or talk or if you want yto eat in another part of the pub you can. the staff are very warm and friendly & when they are busy will try to serve you as quickly as possible. they have a nice selection of beer, lager, spirits & bottled ales all at a reasonable price, so my advice is for you all to try this pub for yourselves i dont think your be disappointed anonymous - 16 Apr 2006 22:46 |

This is a deceptive looking pub with much more to it than you can see from the outside. It offers excellent food, good clean beer, a friendly atmostphere all at reasonable prices. There are two beer gardens which are out of sight from the front of the pub. Sunday lunchs are especialy busy so its worth booking in. This is a great all round pub so don't miss out a good experience. anonymous - 16 Apr 2006 15:43 |
