Little known fact, the hotel is haunted by an old couple. If you want to freak the staff out, tell them that you can see these two old folks in the room moving things about, as they regularly move salt/pepper etc around the room. The staff don't know the place is haunted, but cannot understand why things are being misplaced. Good fun ! sewell01 - 7 Jul 2009 12:49 |
Made the mistake of returning to this venue for our company Christmas party after having a great time two years before. Obviously under new management as all aspects of the evening were diabolical. Food was like school dinners (packet frozen veg) and wine undrinkable. DJ setting up as we ate. Won't visit again. Mothroy - 8 Dec 2007 19:05 |
Hotel on River Thames with Bar open to public. twickenham - 4 Jan 2006 10:51 |
Not really a pub but a hotel but an adequate friendly bar used by the locals. Interetsing ale, usualy Twickenham as well as the usual Tetley/Carlsberg brands. Happy Hour 5-7 pm and 12-7 pm on Sundays) (reduction of approx one third. Drinks are low end pub prices. Occasionaly the bar is closed on Fridays and Saturdays due to weddings, etc. Great food both in the bar and in the air-conditioned restaurant. Nice welcoming staff! Mr Ed - 16 Mar 2005 10:21 |
