| Got to be said nice place overall. I was put off the first time I went in here. The pint of Honeydew I had at first tasted a little off so I switched to pride. The pint I ordered wasn't pulled but was presented to me from a number that were sitting behind the bar. It tasted ok but was still a little off putting and I left after this drink. However the bar staff were really nice and the place itself was great so I went back another time, after a recomendation, and was pleasently surprised. Again the same friendly bar staff, again the same good set up and this time the beer was ok and pulled properly. Yet another Balham pub where the plasma rules... lazy sofa atmosphere and then they ramp up the volume when World Tiddle-winks Championships are on. Pool tables for people to surround and scream at each other inbetween screaming at the plasmas... NOT a place for a quiet drink. asnootyfox - 23 Aug 2007 22:21 |
| This place must have had new management recently because its totally changed from the worm hole it used to be. The bar staff even came over to my table and asked me if I wanted another drink!!! what???? Is this the same place that used to have rude bar staff and be full of lonely locals talking to themselves. We came here last Friday for a quick pint before heading into the city, but ended up staying there to listen the music and chillin out with Jez a local DJ guy that we met Freindly bar staff, good place to chill and you can play pool on proper tables.
