Great pub with a good range of well kept beers. The staff were friendly and helpful. There's a fanastic real fire in the bar area. Would certainly recomend. tanky - 8 Mar 2013 15:19 |
Under new management, food looks good, prices a wee bit expensive, beer kept well though. staff seem to be all colonials but are attentive enough. nice decor, outside covered and heated are, will probably return. better than most of the dives in ricky. mfclions - 25 Jun 2012 19:08 |
I decided to give it a try as it was a pub I had driven past many times . A friend was visiting from overseas so on Spring Bank Holiday I stopped by.The tables were dirty, the bar unkempt and the beer just about acceptable. Staff seemed unaware of basic customer care niceties. Shame because it looked an inviting pub and the menu seemed well balanced and priced. Will give it one more go and see if my first impressions were justified.or not. freefromenvy - 1 Jun 2010 21:58 |
Im not sure i agree about the toilets, they always seem grim to me, also the hygiene rating for the kitchen is only one star out of five on the council website and this might explain it - i think that the crown has slipped a bit here, and the feathers is now the best pub in Ricky! Best pub in Ricky with a very attractive interior, and sensible two bar arrangement one for the youngsters with large screen sport TV the other for drinkers and diners with nooks and crannies.Range of real ales ,I had the Hare Raiser which was good and was offered a promotion voucher of buy 3 pints get fourth free.Excellent idea.Didnt try food but menu also looked good.Friendly welcome.
