Closed and boarded-up during the summer of 2010. Very sad... robcheshire - 10 Nov 2010 10:18 |
Saw excellent local band Six Miles Away play there a few weeks ago - a really nice country pub; top marks. everylittlehelps - 14 Sep 2008 13:33 |
I first went in this pub a few months ago and thought it was a bit of a dump. I was ignored by the landlord until the locals gave him permission to serve me and there was only one real ale, 6X which is not my favourite beer. After several visits though, I am begining to appreciate the understated charm of the decor, the large open fire and the excellant quality of the 6X. This pub is growing on me! arferjob - 15 Dec 2007 01:50 |
Pub quiz is excellent on the first Friday of the month. Really good food here too and they are tolerant to children! anonymous - 15 Nov 2004 17:21 |
Top quality country pub that serves great food and great ales at good prices. Fairly quiet place as it is pretty much in the sticks, but well worth the trip. Needs to be visited, especially around Christmas time when there is a lot of traditional entertainment laid on. Nice beer garden with children welcome and catered for. Stuart and Pippa have worked wonders here. Darts team on wednesday nights and monthly free quiz on the first friday of each month. Viper - 21 Mar 2004 13:44 |
