Went in for something to eat. Saw the sandwich advertising board outside when we drove past and what a lovely surprise it turned out to be. The price of our meals all together cost 2 more than the international burger joint, (and the kids are sitting at the table, with waitess service, using cutlery instead of their fingers). The Times Inn has Old World charm, is a lovely cosy, traditional pub with friendly staff, a nice layout. Great chef, brilliant waitress service and its absolutley spotless. You can see the chef working away in the kitchen. Nice big portions, keen prices. Brilliant experience and we go back every week now, it's that good! The kids look forward to it and the staff are so accommodating. The kids often have chicken nuggets, which are the real genuine chicken breast, not that formed "chicken breast" we so often get elsewhere, homemade chips too all cocked to perfection. My usual is the Giant Yorkshire Pud filled with meat and loads of tasty gravy. Loads of fresh veg too. Try it!

The Times Inn has been taken over by Gordon & Elaine, yes it's an old fashion type of pub but it is very clean and friendly and I can highly recommend the food there, they still have karaoke and bands on at weekends. And it has young people in as well as old and those in between.
Try it yourself and make your own mind up.

Seaham's such an awful drug and crime ridden place, with some of the worst scummers you're likely to encounter. You've seen Deliverance, right? This is one of the better pubs, but that's not saying much.

The Times in is really good if yer like sitting with the old folks, there is also a nice fat boy who does the entertainment.

Off the beaten track and it seems to go a bit quiet when strangers walk in.

"This is a local pub for local people.........."
