Excellent friendly staff, this is a great bar with a nice atmosphere. It makes a very pleasant change from some of the dated grubby pubs which need to close or sort their business out. zebedee9 - 20 Oct 2010 10:00 |
Its about time Maldon had a venue like this! Its clean, the staff are friendly and professional and the atmosphere is good! Its the ONLY place to go for a good weekend in Maldon and the bathrooms are clean too!! Barnaby3 - 12 Nov 2006 17:28 |
Makes a nice change to find a comfortable, clean, modern tastefully decorated cafe/bar that isnt part of a boring chain. (a la cafe rouge etc). Very helpful and friendly staff who make you feel welcome. As a single woman it is a relief to visit somewhere like this and not feel uncomfortable to have a quiet drink alone. - (although I have only been during the day) Fantastic home made soup and great fresh bread. anonymous - 25 Feb 2006 00:17 |
the oakhouse is a great bar, far improved from the sorry state in which it was left by its previous owner, but thanks to much effort and commitment by the new owners its a brilliant place to be. The staff too are brilliant and very friendly. The cocktail bar also is a great asset to the Oakhouse. Excelent all round, plus the food during the day is to die for! We know people of all ages who visit the Oakhouse regularly, day and night. The one thing they say is that the staff make everyone feel welcome. That makes a real difference. Ian Linton - [email protected] - 29 Mar 2004 10:08 |
