New owners.... Taken a closed down pub to Yorkshire pub of the year within two years. Not bad! Check out trip advisor reviews, winner of best food pub in york press pub awards and Yorkshire pub of the year.....what else can I say? A mixed bag of reviews before new owners got it but proofs in the pudding, make your own mind up. Reviewer below sounds a bit tight with his cash! People pay for quality these days and this place gives both quality as well as quantity....a win win situation!

Reopened in 2009. Excellent range of beers including Tim Taylors Landlord. Very nice welcoming owners in Liz and Paul. Food is very special and fabulous presentation, hard to fault. You will not be dissappointed.

This pub/restaurant changed hands on 26 Oct 2004. It is now owned by a "small group" rather than the Gill family who made this place so excellent over the past four years! You can already feel the difference and it is not an improvement............

Now the only remaining pub in Ouseburn. Expensive main restaurant but superb and HUGE bar snacks. Ideal on cold wintry nights in front of the large open fire, plenty of locals propping up the bar and excellent atmosphere. Worth a 20 mile drive each way for a visit.
